During my own experience and research, I found that eating nutritionally-dense meals has a huge impact on mental health. All recipes & photos are by CDD.

MIND / BODY / HEART
0.4 is divided into three main sections -- mind, body, and heart -- each of which are color-coded according to color psychology. Articles are written for a broad audience in a light tone, yet maintain the evidence-based approach of 0.4 by linking back to scientific studies.
My friends are my biggest inspiration.
Also, I believe design is a tool that can
change the world.

In my practice, I combine photography, writing, research, and data to inform my work. I believe that content is king and form should follow function.
I've been lucky enough to work with people I am truly inspired by and who I believe are game-changers in whatever industry/field they are a part of whether that's philanthropy, fashion, music, or food & dining.

Nothing makes me more excited than helping the people I admire transform their dreams into a realities. It's pretty rad.

RelationshipHealth Dashboard
My Role: Head of Design
Ours is a relationship wellness platform.

While I worked with Ours, we made a number of updates to Dashboard to increase retention between sessions, such as introducing the 'Netflix of Relationship Health', toasts that would encourage users to sign up for their next session if they were running low on packs, and gamified ways to track their relationship health.

Problem #1
Users were confused by the chaotic nature of the dashboard, frustrated by certain features and didn’t understand certain CTAs.

Solution:
We re-vamped the dashboard completely,
with a new Design System I built from the ground up that
exposed navigation, clearly guided users on what to do,
and fell within accessibility standards.

AFTER

Results:
-
Greater Control: "The ability to easily book sessions with a therapist gave me a sense of control over the health of my relationship."
-
Reduced Drop-Offs: "Previously, the dashboard was overwhelming, and I didn’t know where to start. Now, it's clear what steps to take when I log in."
-
Improved Accessibility: The new design features an accessible color scheme and easier-to-read text, addressing previous usability issues.
-
Enhanced Responsiveness: The platform, once limited to desktop access, is now fully responsive, ensuring seamless use across all devices.
Problem 2
Users weren’t returning to Ours after onboarding. We needed a lightweight, meaningful way to drive weekly engagement and build long-term retention.

To address this, I ideated four product concepts to explore different paths toward habitual use:
-
Concept 1 – A Notion/Jira-inspired tool for tracking relationship health.
-
Concept 2 – A centralized dashboard for relationship vitals, events, and satisfaction.
-
Concept 3 – A personalized relationship timeline highlighting key milestones.
-
Concept 4 – A gamified reflection experience inspired by the card game We’re Not Really Strangers.
We ultimately chose Concept 4 to launch. Here's a closer look at each idea and why we made that decision.

Project Requirements + Research

Initial Explorations
Step 2:
Creation of four high-level concepts
Concept 1
A collaborative dashboard modeled after tools like Notion and Jira, where couples can track their relationship health across key categories (Communication, Finances, Intimacy, etc.) using cards, reflections, and progress metrics.
Pros:
-
Creates structured space for reflection — Helps couples engage in a thoughtful, repeatable habit that feels productive and meaningful.
-
Trackable over time — Built-in categories (e.g., Communication, Finances, Intimacy) allow for data visualization and progress tracking.
-
Customizable framework — Engineers can modularize RBT cards and categories, making it flexible for different couple needs or future iterations.
Cons:
-
High cognitive overhead — Might feel too “work-like” or formal for users who want a lightweight, emotional experience.
-
Complex UI interactions — Building a drag-and-drop or card-based interface with syncing/reflection history may require significant engineering resources.
-
Hard to scale emotionally — Without personalization or smart recommendations, the framework could feel repetitive over time.

Concept 2
A centralized dashboard to visualize relationship satisfaction, document upcoming events, and capture relationship vitals (years together, attachment style, dependents, etc.)

Concept 3
A personalized experience, highlighting the stage of your relationship, when you were 'established' and how long you've been together.

Concept 4
A gamified way, inspired by the card game We Are Not Really Strangers, to get to know each other better and use results to create a relationship health catalogue over time.

Mostly due to time constraints, we ended up going with a much simpler RBT and re-used modules from the Onboarding Flow

Results:
-
Increased User Engagement: The introduction of the Rose/Bud/Thorn (RBT) feature led to a 12% increase in weekly active users, as the simple reflection practice encouraged users to consistently engage with the platform.
-
Stronger Emotional Connection: By aligning RBT with the brand’s empathetic tone, users felt more connected to the platform. 78% of users reported feeling supported and more emotionally invested in their relationship after using the feature.
User Testing & Feedback
Sharing Data with Therapists

Users requested the ability to share their relationship progress with their therapists. We added this additional functionality.

Users shared that they felt that it was challenging to encapsulate the state of their relationship with an emoji and often stopped at this step

We ended up removing this screen.

Users said that when they completed the RBT they felt closer to their partner and it increased relationship satisfaction, but found it hard to do it consistently

We added a calendar screen before users were directed back to the Dashboard and that increased frequency by 3%.
